Calculation Methodology
Our Panchangam Accuracy and Sources
Drik Calculation Method
Telugu Daily Calendar follows the Drik (Drk) Panchangam method. This method is based on modern astronomy and calculates the actual positions of planets. The Drik method is more accurate than the Vakya method.
Swiss Ephemeris
We use the Swiss Ephemeris library, which is a globally recognized standard tool for astronomical calculations. This library is based on NASA JPL Ephemeris data and provides highly accurate planetary positions.
- Sun, Moon positions with 0.001 degree accuracy
- Planetary positions and retrograde motions
- Precession and nutation corrections applied
Ayanamsa
We use the Lahiri Ayanamsa, which is the official ayanamsa recognized by the Government of India. This is used to calculate the difference between tropical and sidereal zodiacs.
Local Time
All times are calculated based on your selected location. Sunrise, sunset, Rahu Kalam etc. are accurately calculated based on the geographical latitude and longitude of your city.
Our Accuracy Guarantee
Our Panchangam calculations are verified by comparing with prestigious astrological Panchangams. We continuously update our computations and improve accuracy.
